I think we should get to know each other a bit first. I’m Briana. I was born and raised in New York City, I’m an introvert, I love movies, and I’m a self-proclaimed self-care connoisseur.

My innate introverted nature has made me ruminate over simple and more complex things. Writing has always come naturally to me and being able to communicate via written words suits me best.

I started this Substack to lean into my creativity more, make writing a habit, and just do it for fun again. I talk about the things that I can’t stop thinking about and I write about my uncomfortable thoughts.

I read somewhere that you are not your thoughts and it makes sense when you stop to think about it. Sometimes your own brain can be your worst enemy and it can be difficult to distinguish who you are from what you’re thinking. Some thoughts are just meant to be looked at and allowed to pass through; they’re not supposed to consume you. And in an attempt to not let them consume me, I write them out of my head. That’s what you can expect to find here; my thoughts semi-unfiltered.

I’m just finding my way through life and doing as much self-care as possible to keep my head afloat. I don’t know what this digital space could turn into yet but you’re invited on the journey.
